Frequently asked questions

Pause for Mind Hero
  • What is Pause?

Pause is a new subscription service to help you carve out a monthly moment of me-time – a chance to put aside daily stresses and chores and to focus on your own wellbeing.

Each month you’ll receive a Pause box though the post containing an activity or gift designed to encourage creativity, relaxation, a new skill, or simply to offer a precious moment of calm. You can use these gifts and activities to savour a little alone time, or share experiences with friends or family.

Pause is brought to you by Mind, the mental health charity. By subscribing to Pause, you’re donating to supporting Mind’s vital work to ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

  • What is wellbeing?

Mental wellbeing describes your mental state – how you are feeling and how well you can cope with day-to-day life.

Our mental wellbeing is dynamic. It can change from moment to moment, day to day, month to month or year to year. Positive wellbeing is about much more than just being happy in the moment. It means feeling confident in yourself, being able to cope with the stresses of daily life, build positive relationships and fully engage with the world around you.

  • Will Pause improve my mental health?

Pause will encourage you to set aside some time each month to focus on your wellbeing, and enjoy being in the present moment. Your regular donations will also help make a real difference for people experiencing mental health problems.
